Hurray, my library got Visibly Muslim for me through inter library loan. Better late than never; the month isn't over anyway. Has anyone else got a copy or started reading? I laughed when I looked at this book because its filled with pictures.
oooh, this looks very interesting!... but this time I'll ask DD to check the university library first. I waited well over a year for the Arab Dress book via ILL, and when it came DD said "oh Icould have got that from the library at school for you"...!
Only a few days left. I barely started reading this book..find it quite boring and discovered its written by a non-muslim. Maybe it will get better? Yawn....
This book was due yesterday so I forced myself to finish it. Basically I skimmed it. What I can say is that if you've been Muslim for the last 10 yrs and cognizant of the Muslim fashion scene and how Muslim choose to follow or not follow the rules regarding covering then you will already know everything that is in this book. However I could see how it would be helpful to a non-muslim and maybe a recent convert but otherwise it was just a been there, done that, bought the hijab type of book.
The adventures of a Canadian Muslim convert with 10 kids who is married to a Malaysian. Homeschooling, baking, swimming, reading etc...there's something for everyone.
