Nothing Tastes as Good...........

Just a reminder to my Nadoona sisters cuz I'm thinkin' of ya! Here is my new mantra
"Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels". Just keep saying it to yourself. I hope all of you are doing well with this challenge and feeling more healthy everyday. We're halfway there and living on a prayer!

  1. ASA - and how is it going? Are you losing weight? I've looked into it, and it seems expensive (but I'm cheap!) You'd still recommend it?

Its going great! Yes I am losing weight! Alhumdullilah. I found it expensive too but they did offer me a payment plan which worked for me. At this point too I'm very willing to part with a dollar if it means getting my health back.

  3. salaam sister-in-Islam,

how are you an 'old Muslim woman'? how old are you if you don't mind me asking? why would an 'old Muslim woman' want to lose weight when she has, Masha-Allah, married with about ten children?

are you interested in sending your kids to an Islamic school with Islamic English curriculum? :)

lol well I call myself the old muslim woman in the shoe because of the nursery rhyme that goes "there was an old woman who lived in a shoe, she had so many children, she didn't know what to do". I have lots of children and my house is so small so it fits. My health has been affected for this past year and I want to get healthy and that includes a healthy lifestyle with good food choices and plenty of exercise. Its sunnah to be in shape at all ages. :) I will check out your links insha Allah.

  5. I'm going to give weight loss a shot on my own here once school is done (next month) if I don't see any changes a month or so after Ramadan, I think I'll bite the bullet and give these gals a try. I've found that the older I get, the harder it is to lose, and the easier it is to gain.

Sure see what you can do on your own. I think half the battle is exercising and saying no to junk. I did that on my own but they also reduced my caloric intake while keeping a healthy balance of nutrients. You are also accountable to them and of course first of all to Allah and yourself.
