Challenge Day 5


Finally I made a Malaysian recipe last night which I took from the very book I am giving away. Its called Karima's Cashew chicken. Unfortunately the kids said they didn't like it but they all ate it except one. Dh said it was ok. I am wondering who this Karima woman is from the GTA who contributed this recipe to the book. I'm sure I can track her down, lol. I mean that in a good way. The reason the kids said they didn't like it was because of the cashews which doesn't make sense as they eat cashews all the time. I served it with plain rice; jasmine of course.

    This is more of a Chinese Malaysian chicken recipe. The Malays food are spicier, but I myself do not eat too spicy, bad for my gastric, nevertheless I still prepare spicy food, but not hot, my kids won't take too if its too hot.

    I can give simple easy to make recipes if you like.

    Chinese really? I found it odd. Dh is from Kelantan so no spicy foods for us...tastes more sweet. I love it! Ayam percik is great! I have lots recipes but malas to masak! You have simple ones? Really? Most malaysian recipes have a million ingredients and steps and take hours to make!
