Curing MS Through Food?

An internet friend sent me this video and I thought I would share.

  1. I wouldn't be surprised. I follow a blog of a woman who had very bad hypothyroid issues and as a result had fertility issues. She began researching and learned that changing her diet could fix it and now, without any drugs at all and by just changing her lifestyle, she has overcome her thyroid problems and is now expecting a baby! Doctors say that most, I think like 60% or something of the diseases that kill us are preventable by a change in diet/lifestyle. here is a link to her blog. I love it! www.vega-licious.com

  2. Asalaamu Alaikum

Wow, what an amazing blog. I signed up for the newsletter. I also have hypothyroidism. I notice everyone is saying no milk and no grains but that goes counter to what is in the Quran so I'm not going to jump on board that one. Thanks for the link. Everywhere I turn it seems to be telling me to eat lots of greens. I ate kale for the first time this week and my acne cleared up. Yup even old fogies like me can look like a teen...sigh.

  4. Mashallah, she has lots of very good information. I began eating green smoothies a few months back and kept it up until we moved to Egypt. I'm not sure why I stopped except maybe laziness? Or maybe because I live in an apartment now and eating them requires blending which is very loud and will wake up the kids. ha ha.
And what is wrong with cutting out grain and milk? Does Qur'an say you MUST eat them?

  5. I find it odd to cut out 3 out of 4 food groups. It doesn't really make for a balanced diet. Unless you have allergies or a medical condition you should be fine to eat all the groups. All of a sudden they want everyone to quit eating grains and dairy products. Grains are so beneficial to your health. When they invented white bread and took out the grains people started to get depressed like crazy. And for milk they are saying adults shouldn't drink it as its only for infants. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and his companions drank milk and in heaven there is a river of milk as well. If you have lactose intolerance then that's another story.
